They are also offering up to RM200k to pilot and implement your plan!

Reimagine the Possibilities

The Creative KL Urban Challenge offers you the freedom to choose from three compelling themes. Dive into the realm of Reimagining Urban Housing, where dormant buildings can be reborn as vibrant hubs, fostering housing diversity and connecting communities. Alternatively, embark on the journey to create A Better Environment For All, finding innovative ways to reduce waste generation and pollution, ensuring a sustainable future for everyone. Lastly, take up the challenge of Enhancing Urban Accessibility, transforming Kuala Lumpur's streets, alleys, and laneways into green, resilient spaces that welcome all and withstand the impacts of climate change. The choice is yours, and the possibilities are boundless.

Timeline of the Challenge

The Creative KL Urban Challenge unfolds over several exciting stages, providing you with ample opportunities to refine and showcase your ideas:

1. Evaluation (14th - 27th July 2023): Your proposal will undergo a rigorous evaluation process, where your innovative solutions will be carefully examined and considered.
2. Refinement (1st - 16th August 2023): If your idea stands out, you will be among the fifteen shortlisted semi-finalists invited to refine your pitch and breathe life into your concept.
3. Pitching Challenge (17th August 2023): Step into the spotlight as one of the top fifteen semi-finalists, where you will have the chance to present your vision before a distinguished panel. From there, the top eight finalists will emerge, carrying the torch of innovation.
4. Exhibition & Public Voting (18th August - 13th September 2023): Witness your brainchild take center stage as the project ideas of the top eight finalists are showcased in a public exhibition and online platform. Let the public voice their support by casting their votes for their favorite concepts.
5. Award Ceremony (21st September 2023): The moment of truth arrives as winners are announced at the grand Award Ceremony, marking the beginning of an exciting journey to implement your idea.

Submit your applications between 19th June and 13th July 2023.
